As the firm’s official technical guru, Krista is detail oriented with a high level of technical and code knowledge. She enjoys spreading this knowledge to others both individually as well as firm wide through lunchtime education sessions. She enjoys figuring out technical solutions that maintain the design integrity. When Krista is not knitting a new project, she’s playing or watching ice hockey. Pierre Brulé is the co-founder and vice president of Anderson Brulé Architects, Inc. Before moving to the United States in 1983, he practiced architectural and interior design in Paris, France, working on specialty high-end residential, commercial, and retail projects. With over 37 years of experience, Pierre is strongly oriented towards the artistic and graphic aspects of the architectural profession. His design solutions reflect what he terms “image design planning” and deal with every aspect of the design — from the facade to creating custom furnishings, to the smallest details of the interiors. His expertise in graphic production includes a wide variety of mediums and techniques such as quick sketching, perspectives, architectural drawings, model making, computer-aided design and photography. Kate is always up for a challenge. “Never been done before” sounds like an exciting invitation. She enjoys solving the unsolvable and avoiding problems before they happen. Called “Tall Kate” or “CAD Whisperer” she is a bit of a punster, always ready with a cheesy joke or wry comment. When she isn’t working hard with her project team, her favorite place is in the caf?, checking out the comics or doing a crossword. Jason is extremely process oriented, and strives to be the catalyst for ongoing evolution of design at ABA. Constant learning is at the forefront of every endeavor that Jason undertakes, and for him, learning all components of architectural practice results in a foundation for design from which creative and informed solutions grow. Jason is actively involved in organizing numerous design oriented lunch time learning opportunities for ABA staff. Susan has worked on many higher education, civic and health care projects, which call on her skills in design, space planning, and programming. Susan believes strongly in the importance of community service and has devoted a significant amount of her free time to service projects, such as providing educational opportunities to interior design students, and fundraising for the Blind & Visually Impaired. Pamela Anderson-Brulé is a founder and the president of Anderson Brulé Architects, Inc. Her career has been dedicated to creating an architectural design process that considers the holistic approach to achieving all of her clients’ vision for how they live, work, play, and thrive. She believes that truly exceptional architecture balances the human, social, economic and environmental needs of individuals and sustains the community in which it is created. Pamela’s postgraduate studies in business management have augmented her strong belief and emphasis in team building and expectation development. Her expertise is in facilitating public and private clients through pre-project planning and visioning, all requiring a deep understanding of the necessary steps of designing buildings with the functional needs of her clients, aligning to time and budget. She has gained recognition for her work with private, public and non-profit clientele, preparing them in undertaking complex planning and building projects. She is a careful communicator that believes in an inclusive and meaningful process whether for a large community project or an individual home. Pamela enjoys travel, cooking and time with her children and grandchild. Her favorite past time is drawing and painting when not doing architecture. She also enjoys her community volunteer work. Crystal believes that variety is the spice of life and loves the range of projects she’s worked on at ABA. She especially enjoys researching her client’s daily rituals, at work and at play, from common to extraordinary. This understanding gives her the insight to design functionally efficient environments for the user. Her interest in building efficiency extends from functionality to sustainability. Amy is always eager to learn and add to her skill set. She thrives on being creatively challenged and thinking outside the box. Focusing on project details (sometimes the very minute) and how the client will truly use the space, is one of her favorite elements of interior design. Color is also a favorite element, which is reflected throughout her work, and her wardrobe! She also has a passion for sustainability and works to incorporate it into her daily life and her projects.
Outside of work she can be found pursuing any number of creative endeavors from quilting, to painting, to baking!
